Every time we have parliamentary changes in England (for example, national elections, changes of political party leaders, Cabinet re-shuffles), there are a number of us (those who are fully aware of the battle for the introduction of truly evidence-informed reading instruction) who 'hold our breath' to see what happens to the position Nick Gibb holds.
Here in England, former Prime Minister Theresa May has resigned to be replaced by the highly controversial Boris Johnson (24th July 2019). Thankfully, Nick Gibb retains his post as Minister for School Standards as noted in the Times Education Supplement (TES):
