Thank you so much for taking the time to post the link to your blog - it is so helpful for parents to read such a positive account! As you say, there are so many arguments out there on Twitter etc. regarding phonics, it can be difficult for parents to know what to trust / believe. I love your description of the 'light bulb' moment in the car - there can surely be little that can compare with the sheer joy, wonder and excitement when the world of reading is opened up to our children - and when learning is so rewarding! Thank you again for sharing your experiences.
